The SECRET To Success

massive action

What if I told you that the secrets to a successful service business are not quite as secret as you might think.  Above and beyond anything you’ve heard or experienced in the past, there truly is only one thing that is going to guarantee your Success and that is…

MASSIVE ACTION

I don’t mean to tell you that you don’t need to have proper systems in place, or that you don’t need to educate yourself in all different areas of being an entrepreneur, but rather that the ONLY way you will ever be able to stay focused and get these things in place and working for you IS by taking Massive Action.

One thing you’ll want to realize before you start taking massive action is that you don’t want it to be scattered massive action.  You want it to be focused on a specific marketing strategy or two, and consistently work that strategy until you have locked it in and start to achieve the results you’re looking for.

Prospect (and Customer) Education = More Sales and Better Clients

infoI’ve heard marketing legends such as Jay Abraham, Dan Kennedy, Seth Godin and many others state that as much as 95% of the advertising and marketing done by small business is completely ineffective and total CRAP.

When companies use what I call conventional or institutional advertising – it is almost always used on a hit-or-miss basis which can’t help but draw poor results. The problem is further compounded by the fact that so many business owners don’t make the effort to simply track the results they are getting from each and every one of their marketing sources. What ends up happening is that they wind up throwing good money away on advertising that doesn’t have a snowballs chance in hell of providing any immediate or long term return.

A pattern of bad results will eventually discourage most from continuing to market and promote themselves at all.  And obviously this will kill any hope of success.

I think it’s safe to say we all know we MUST market our businesses effectively – in some way – for it to continue to gain customers, keep customers and ultimately survive.

Where Oh Where Did My Customers Go? (pt 1)

confusedYou see, there will be times when we do, in fact, lose customers. This is a natural part of every business. Sometimes customers move, if they are a commercial client they may go out of business or some customers simply feel they no longer have a need for our particular products or services.

Certainly, these are pretty much beyond your control as a business owner. However, the losses you absolutely don’t want to see are those that you can and should be doing something to prevent.

Did you know that in survey after survey, one of the top reasons customers report as their reason for not returning to a particular business is…
